A new web-site has been launched which enables you to report problems in the community (Rowdiness, pot holes, street lighting faults etc). You report it and they pass the comments on to the appropriate department of the council/police etc.

I tried it recently (someone had dumped a ¼ ton block of concrete complete with a protruding 12” girder with sharp ends onto the middle of the childrens play area on Summerfields estate). I reported it on Tuesday (mid pm) and it had been removed by the council by 5 pm on Wednesday. THAT IS REAL ACTION). Congratulations, both to the site and to FLAG (part of DMBC)

You may wish to know that, as from 1st June 2009, the Anglican Parishes of Finningley with Blaxton and Auckley were transferred to the Diocese of Sheffield under the care of Bishop Steven Croft.
